Epoxy Floor Paint

In the last few years a new type of epoxy floor paint has been put on the market, it is called polyureas and polyaspartics. These new coatings have unique characteristics such as being able to withstand cold weather applications and are more flexible type of coating making it less likely to crack. These types of epoxy coating were originally developed for coating steel to prevent corrosion. Their exceptional performance and quick curing led to different applications most notably on concrete. Though there are a few companies promoting a polyaspartic system for the do it yourself market they are an advanced coating that should be left to the professionals. These types of paint should not be handled by non professionals.

Some reasons that these types of paint are popular are because of the price range of these types of paint and coating. There are a lot of different types of floor paints; one of the most popular types of paint is epoxy floor paint. Epoxy floor paint is more of a floor coating rather than floor paint, but it is not your normal paint coating that actually goes over the paint.
